Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture Physician and Holistic Health Counselor
Chris Dziubinski is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture Physician and Holistic Health Counselor at Mind Body Spirit Care. Dr. Chris takes a healing-oriented approach to health, using a combination of complementary and conventional therapies to stimulate the body’s natural ability to heal. She believes that every body is unique and different and has a limitless potential to live, to love, to laugh and to heal. Her intention is to use her knowledge and experience to help each patient reach and exceed their individual wellness goals, maintain health and live life to its fullest.
Dr. Chris has worked in medicine for over ten years, including work as a laboratory assistant and emergency medical technician. She obtained her Bachelors of Science from University of South Florida and went on to attend University of Florida’s Physician Assistant Program. Throughout the intense two-year program she would attend classes during the day and study at night, often studying throughout the night with little to no sleep. She lived on Starbucks and fast food to get her through the day. In her last semester, this inappropriate diet and lifestyle caught up with her. She became ill with debilitating fatigue, tension headaches, body aches all over, foggy thinking, poor memory, extremely nervous to the point of being visibly shaking, irritable, withdrawn, gastric reflux, upset stomach, severe diarrhea, and the symptoms go on and on. Upon seeking relief for her failing health, she was bounced back and forth between medical specialist spending less than five minutes with her and all coming to the same conclusion, “your fine, your just stressed out,” which was then followed by prescription medications. No one discussed how to relax, de-stress or even the importance of healthy diet and exercise. At the age of 24, Chris found herself on five different prescription medications and no relief. Desperate for help she began to look into alternatives options, and made an appointment to see an acupuncturist. The acupuncturist spent over an hour discussing with her the importance of healthy diet and exercise and recommended some invaluable stress reduction techniques for her to do at home, in combination with acupuncture treatment. After the first acupuncture treatment her tension headache was gone, after the second treatment her anxiety started to improved, and by the third treatment she realized this was the type of medicine she wanted to be a part of and withdrew from University of Florida and enrolled at East West College of Natural Medicine to study Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Today, Chris takes pride in that fact that she is healthy, symptom free and on no prescription medication. Because of the dramatic impact natural medicine has had on her life, she has devoted her life to teaching others about the safety and effectiveness of natural medicine to prevent and treat disease.
