Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the insertion of hair-thin, sterile, stainless steel, single use needles into acupuncture points to influence the flow of vital energy. This safe, painless insertion of acupuncture needles can unblock energetic pathways, and increase the flow of vital energy throughout the body, providing adequate nourishment to cells, organs, glands, tissues and muscles. Modern research has shown that stimulation of these acupuncture points can regulate hormones and neurotransmitters, promote healthy immune function, and reduces stress which when combined with proper diet and exercise can restore health.

Over the past 3000 years, more people have been treated successfully with acupuncture than with all other healing modalities combined. Today acupuncture is widely practiced in Asia, Europe and Germany, and because of its safety and effectiveness its use in the United States is growing rapidly. Modern science has begun to understand acupuncture with the support of new studies conducted by leading scientists, hospitals, and medical research facilities all over the world. Today acupuncture is receiving wide acceptance as a respected, valid, and effective form of healthcare. According to the National Institute of Health (NIH) and World Health Organization (WHO) acupuncture has been proven to be a safe, natural, effective, drug free way to treat men, woman and children for a wide range of medical problems including:

How many treatments will I need?

Acupuncture works on momentum and has a cumulative effect on the body. The number of treatments depends on each patient’s particular state of imbalance. A typical course of care is 12 acupuncture treatments, spread out over a course of weeks to months and is then followed by a maintenance phase. Some patients experience immediate relief, and others may take longer, in general, chronic issues take longer to resolve than acute issues. Plan on a minimum of a month to see a significant change.
